The executive director of the Corridor G Regional Development Authority is Tommy Adkins. Mr. Adkins was named executive director on July 1, 2008, taking over for Shelley Huffman, who retired as executive director in early 2008. Chairman Arthur Kirkendoll stated, "the Board feels the Authority is in the hands of a very capable individual, one with several years of experience in economic development, management, and community service to southern West Virginia."
Before becoming executive director of the Corridor G Regional Development Authority, Mr. Adkins held several managerial/director positions, including service at Junior Achievement of West Virginia and Tri-River Transit Authority.
Mr. Adkins has also served on various boards, most recently on the Lincoln County Economic Development Authority board.
A lifelong resident of the area, with a deep sense of pride and passion for the area, Mr. Adkins continues to push the Corrirdor G Regional Development Authority to new heights during his first year as executive director. His focus on economic development, technology, and community engagement will continue to benefit the region for years to come.
