Chief Logan Recreational Center

The tennis courts and walking track at the Chief Logan Recreational Center are now open.  Swimming pools are open on a limited basis.  Other equipment is scheduled to be operational by mid-March 2010.  The Center is located near the Chief Logan Lodge and Conference Center on US 119 (Corridor G) between Chapmanville and Logan, West Virginia.  For more information, contact the Chief Logan Rerecational Center at 304-855-8591.

SPEED Reception

The 15th Annual Southern Partners in Education and Economic Development Legislative Reception will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Town Center Marriott in Charleston, West Virginia.  The event will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at approximately 8:30 p.m.  Entertainment will be provided by Souvenir.

Land Use Forum

The Corridor G Regional Development Authority will be holding its Fifth Annual Post Mine Land Use Forum on Monday, November 9, 2009.  The purpose of the forum is to bring together landowners, coal operators, state officials and representatives from various state agencies to determine the best way to assist the Corridor G region – Boone, Lincoln, Logan and Mingo counties – transition from a coal based economy to a more diversified one in the future.  To register for the event, click here: Land Use Forum Registration.
